What is the Hex Wedge?

The Hex Wedge is a tool for scaffolders used to assemble and disassemble scaffolding more safely and quickly, and without causing damage to the parts they’re working on. Importantly, the Hex Hammer Wedge is a lightweight, flat wedge mechanism that’s easy to carry in a tool belt while going up or down scaffolding.

The Hex Wedge is particularly suited for removing clamp locking pins, which are some of the most difficult scaffolding parts to access. The tool is uniquely shaped so that it can get into the tight spaces scaffolders need to reach, and it’s compatible with several hex sizes.

How It Works

Scaffolding requires workers to be able to unlock and tighten clamp locking pins in awkward and tight spaces and sometimes all the while being 20ft off the ground. When using just your hammer you run into trouble being able to access the locking pins and repeatedly hammering at an awkward angle with little success. The Hex Wedge solves this issue by giving you multiple striking points to hammer on from a variety of different angles depending on your specific situation, often giving you multiple easy solutions to one problem.

Versitile Striking Points

The Hex Hammer Wedge has multiple areas suitable for striking with a hammer. This allows for a wide variety of vertical and horizontal striking options. When accessing hard to reach lock clamping pins this is absolutely necessary for assembling and dismantling scaffolding.

2 Resting Hooks

The Hex Hammer Wedge has a resting hook on both narrow and wide ends of the tool. This allows you to grip lock clamping pins and have a stable anchor to strike the tool with your hammer.

4 Hexagon Sizes

Minimize the amount of tools you bring in your tool belt by using the Hex Hammer Wedge and the built in Hex cut outs. The hex sizes are 7/8, 13/16, 11/16, and 9/16. These will allow you to tighten and loosen any hex bolts in relation to your scaffolding projects.
